((On the Eastern side of Mesto City, huddled between a ramshackle playground and a run-down hotel stands a stout building, barely three rooms large. Despite it's small stature, the building has a comfortable home-y feel, with a warm crackling fire in the hearth and a plethora of books stacked all the way to the ceiling in sagging bookshelves. In a huge armchair facing the fire sits a squinting badger, his spectacles dangling absentmindedly off his nose and a book placed carefully in his worn paws.))
**The thunderous pumping of feet surrounds Mortimer's house, causing dust to shake off from his high bookshelves.** Darn those street thugs. **the old badger grumbles to himse;f turning in his chair to glare evilly at anyone who passed his window. With a sigh, Mo turns back to his book, keeping his glare on in case anyone suddenly showed up at his door.**

**Moss swerves out of the street, and skids to a stop in front of Mo's house. She peers through dusty windows, trying to locate Viv. then, without further ado, begins knocking on the door. Or banging on it really. The cat girl obviously believes that the old badger is hard of hearing or something.. or maybe she just likes the noise.** Hello?

**HAving jsut gotten settled into his volume, Mo jumps a few inches when he hears the raucous bangings on his door. Turning around with precise slowness, the ancient badger anthro, picks up his worn cane and limps over to the door, opening it slowly with a threatening creak. ** What do you want? **he whispers hoarsely, his eyes widening in a look that stated if she did anythign wrong, this tabby female would get a very good thrashing above the head.** Well? **he asks, his eye twitching slightly. If looks could kill, this tabby would surely have been throughly mutilated and six feet under.. but too bad they can't.**

**Moss' ears flick back for a moment at Mo's hostile glare. The she-cat does nothing except stare at the old badger for a moment. Who the heck is he? She twirls her tail behind her nervously, hoping that this old guy is civilised enough to not tear off her head. Attempting to grin, she meows.** Hey... I came to find Viv. Is she here?

**Mo stares at the tabby female before him for a moment longer, sizing her up. After an uncomfortable silence, he turns around, still contorting his face into some odd hunched squint. Just as he's about to call out Vivian's name, the small fox comes skipping into the main room.** There you are.. **he mutters gruffly, his expression softening once he lays eyes on his young charge. ** Some weirdo's at the door, and I sincerely she's not here for some insurance crap. **Though his tone sounds anything but light-hearted, Mo means nothing of it as he slowly makes his way back to his armchair.**
**Hearing voices outside, Viv races to come check, hoping it's who she thinks it is.** Moss! **the gingery fox exclaims, projectiling herself at the long-haired cat like a fuzzy missile.** I'm glad to see you! Did you meet Mo? Sorry if he scared you, he's really just a big softy, though.. **Genevieve chatters on, her eyes shining with excitement.** What's she here for? Are we gonna do something? Maybe she's kicking me out of the gang.. **Viv thinks worredly, biting her lip.**

ooc: oh, geez, now I have to think of a reason for her to be here... **Moss flicks her tail nervously a few more times, secretly releaved to see the old badger go. She purrs as the little fox bounces towards her. giving Viv a quick hug, she meows.** Hey! What's up? I was wondering if you wanted to come over to Adrien's for while... **Her moss-green eyes drift around as she speaks, taking in the place.** We were hanging out there, and he thought I should show you his new drawings. **Looking back down to the fox, she adds.** Unless you'd rather not, of course...

Oh yes! I would really like to go to Adrien's house with you.. **Viv says sincerely after detaching herself from Moss, staring at the cat with huge eager eyes.**

**Moss purrs once more.** Let's go them! **She carefully peers into the house, once more, adding,** That is, if your um... dad is okay with it. **She's never asked the shy little fox about her family but, well, it doesn't seem like a badger would have a baby fox...**

Oh.. Mo's not my dad. But I'm sure he wouldn't mind, right, Mo? **Viv says with a small smile, jumping out the door without waiting for an answer.** So what are we gonna do once we get there? **The young fox anthro asks eagerly, her yellow bandanna flying**
**In his lumpy armchair, Mo grunts and slouches further into his seat, as if to prove that he didn't mind in the slightest if his charge wandered off somewhere.** Come back before 10:00. **he growls half-heartedly, already submerged into the colorful world of his novel**

**Grinning, Moss begins to leave, motioning for Viv to follow with her tail.** Common then! **She trots through a couple alleys, and then answers.** Oh, Idunno. I guess look at his pictures, and then maybe give him some ideas or something. **She stops again, to make sure Viv is keeping up. Obviously, for her, the interesting part about this is hanging out with her friends, and not what they're actually going to do.**

That would be so cool! **Viv says longingly, staring adoringly at Moss. ** Thanks for inviting me.. **The small fox murmurs, smiling shyly at her toes.**

**Moss purrs and trots forward some more, making sure to not out-pace the little fox.** No problem! **Without thinking, the tabby turns first around one corner, then another, finally arriving on Gettysburg street. She looks down at the rows of shabby apartments.** Here we are....

**Viv tries to keep up with the tall cat anthro, taking three strides for everyone one that Moss took.** Oh boy! ** The fox cries out as she spots Adrien's rundown apartment, her eyes expanding eagerly at the derranged sight of it.** Can we go inside? **Viv asks, a little out of breath from keeping up with Moss, but still glad to be able to tag along**

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~L A T E R~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**A carload of anthro's pulls up to the old building. The car seems to be making the most noise out of all of the things there, grinding to a halt and then weezing quietly as all the kids jump out. Moss is, of course, the first one, practically flying out the non-existant door. Her momentum is stopped for a moment though, as she looks up to the door, and remembers her last encounter with Mo. No doubt Viv's foster father wouldn't take kindly to his house being suddenly ransacked by a bunch of teens. Laughing out loud at the idea, a rather loud and unsettling sound, she purrs.** How about you go in there first viv? To make sure there are no casualties among our merry band?
Socks snakes out of the car, looking a little more yellowish then he normally is. "Oh boy." He shakes his head and yawns a great big yawn before clacking his teeth together and slopping his jaws rather noisily. Sticking his tongue out and leaving it to flop, he shoves his hands in his pockets and joins his spot by his sister.
His tongue slips away and disappears inside his mouth, that quickly slides into a smile. "Good job Moss."
